Tis a rag tag fugitive team whose care is: Oli Holland – bass, Kevin Field – Keys, Dixon Nacey – guitar and Jason Orme drums AND Miss Smith on da vocalis. Meanwhile, there will be the finest of fine music on the gaming room floor through Sept and October too. Magnificent permutations of the Chris Melville band with the likes of Ernie Semu, Patrick Kuhtze, Max Stowers, Grant Winterburn, Dean Kerr, Paul Voight, Nikola Memedovic, Kevin, Oli, Dixon…..Lord have mercy, there’ll be some tired puppies as its non-stop musical genius from 8pm until 2am, Wednesdays through Saturday……..Chris, brother, I salute you! Singing Heads – Sept 19th Come along to join in kindred community with such fine singer songwriters as: Jeff Cox, Brendan Turner, Megan Franich, Anna Stillerman, Philip Gluckman, MIchelle Johnston, myself and many more. Singing Heads is a showcase night for my songwriting singing students at Chris Priestley’s musical venue formerly known as the Atomic Cafe on Ponsonby Road. Now known as Cafe 121 (due to it’s address). Kick off is at 8pm Sharp. Truly, these nights are NOT to be missed. Wednesday Sept 26th – Caitlin Smith Solo Show As Cafe 121 has its very own acoustic piano, I thought I’d like to spend a night playing it for you with a selection of my own originals and some choice covers. This will be another 8pm sharp start and there may well be special guests to entice you to pay a cover charge…..
