Folk in the Stables

Thursdays are live acoustic Music night in Auckland town – Come along to The Elliot Stables, 39 Elliot Street (behind Smith and Caughey’s) every Thursday from 5.30 till 8.30pm Rebecca Le Harle and Caitlin Smith harmonise with originals and choice reinterprettations of Leonard Cohen, Joan Wasser, Kate Walsh, Bob Marley, Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Cliff….. oh yeah!!! Special guests to mix it up like the supremely talented Mr Andy Gibson have been known to perform a set or two. Don’t miss out! We are not here forever… Later Ron….. (and in fact DURING!) you can go to Cafe 121 (121 Ponsonby Road, The Ponce) for Chris Preistley’s Folk Central night which lasts until 11pm and is just jam packed with the country’s finest folk musicians all letting it all hang out and the hair most definitely comes down (if it hasn’t already fallen out yet!!!)
